When you sign in with Google, we collect the following information from your Google account:

• Your email address
• Your profile picture

We also store room data (room codes, temporary session information) to facilitate real-time music sync.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely for:

• Authenticating your identity via Google OAuth
• Displaying your name and profile photo in rooms
• Enabling room creation and participation

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose beyond the core functionality of PlaySync.

We Don't Sell Your Data

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. Your data stays with PlaySync and is used only to make your experience better.

Google OAuth

PlaySync uses Google OAuth 2.0 for authentication. When you sign in, Google shares limited profile information with us. We do not have access to your Google password or other Google services data. You can revoke PlaySync's access at any time through your Google Account permissions.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on cloud infrastructure with industry-standard encryption. Chat messages within rooms are ephemeral and are not permanently stored — once a room is closed, messages are deleted.
